What we do

MoneyGuru is a comparison and referral platform for New Zealanders looking for insurance, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, KiwiSaver and investments. We help Kiwis cut through the marketing and find products that match their situation, then put them in touch with a licensed financial adviser who can give regulated advice and arrange the policy or loan.

We are not an insurer, lender or fund manager — we are a comparison and lead-referral service that connects users with licensed providers.

For property-focused borrowers we also cover specialist verticals through Vega Lend, including investment property loans, property development finance, and asset-based lending.

Who we work with

We may also work with other NZ-registered licensed providers from time to time so that we can match your situation with the most suitable adviser. All partners are required to be registered on the Financial Service Providers Register and to comply with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

How we make money

MoneyGuru is free to use. We receive a referral commission from licensed advisers and providers when a referral results in a policy or loan being put in place. This commission does not increase the cost of the product to you. Our comparison editorial is independent of which partners pay us — we list products that we believe represent good value for New Zealanders.
